Young Composers Composition Contest

Since 1998

Young Composers Composition Contest is intended to identify and encourage exceptionally talented young composers in Texas.  High School, undergraduate, and graduate students in Texas under the age of 30 (at the time of submission) are invited to submit original music compositions for evaluation.  Submitted compositions are evaluated on the basis of artistic merit, technical mastery and originality.

Congratulations to Jason Gerraughty for his winning entry, Get it Out of You! Jason advances to the finals in Atlanta next year, and we can't wait! Although the judges had a tough decision, and we think every single one of these entries is a winner.  Voices of Change has presented the Grand Prize winner in the last two Rapido! cycles...can we do it again?
